Hi all! Welcome to my page! For those of you who do not know me, my name is Kimberly and I live in a suburb just outside Philadelphia with my family. My husband, Burton, and I have know each other since middle school, although we didn't start dating until much later. We have 10 year old son, who keeps us busy with sports, and a dog names Mako (for those who don't know a Mako is a kind of shark, we are R E A L L Y into fishing) who loves to cuddle. We spend most of our summer at the beach, where the boys fish, and I hang by the water. When we're not by the water, were taking Blake to his many sports, or doing DIY projects around the house. As you get to know me, you'll learn that we almost never sit still.

As for me, I have loved crafts since a early age. From finger painting, or decorated pillows and shoes when I was little to art classes in high school and slowly learning about photoshop in my yearbook class, I could never get enough of it. My birthday is in December so parties were always hard because you never knew if it was going to snow, and no matter what it was always to cold to go outside, so my mom always had craft parties for me. We made all sorts of things from stocking with puffy paint, to pillow cases and sheets. For most it probably wasn't entertaining but I LOVED it. I spent most of my high school years working at my family's flower shop learning how to make wedding flowers, funeral flowers and more. It was also was much fun getting to create new things each day.

After high school I continued in that direction and headed to the Art Institute. As much as I loved painting my true passion was decorating. Here I studied interior design, where I learned everything from matching paint colors to space planning, and even building codes. It was great and I couldn't wait to get into the real world and do what I loved. Soon after, I got a decorating job and realized it wasn't what I was expecting. I loved interacting with people and getting to make things, but this was more working behind a computer and watching other people make your vision come to life. It didn't take me long to throw in the towel. I spent the next few years dabbling in all sorts of things trying to decided what was best for me. Finally I ended up back at my family's flower shop, only this time I decided it wasn't going to be all about fresh flowers. As much as I L O V E fresh flowers, I love home decor more. So I decided to make our family flower shop my own, by adding home decor pieces. I started making wreaths, and wooden signs, planters, and more and I realized how much I LOVED this. I loved that every day was something new. I could now take all the crazy project I've made my husband help me with over the years, and bring them to a shop, where others could buy them. It was the perfect combination of everything I loved.

So with all that, I have decided to also share some of my cool DIY projects right here. You will find things from, wreath making, to redecorating projects and more. I hope you enjoy, and find some of it helpful!
